As I wrote recently, when the chattering elite clutch their pearls over Donald Trump’s ‘un-presidential’ language, they completely miss the point. Trump is speaking to the world’s dictators and terrorists in language they understand.
Like Kim Jong-il in Team America, Hamas laugh when the likes of Penny Wong threaten to write them a letter telling them how angry she is.
But when Donald Trump threatens “ALL HELL TO PAY”, Islamic thugs poop their thobes.
Pressure from Donald Trump pushed Hamas to agree to major concessions to expedite a ceasefire, as hopes grow for a truce between Israel and the militant group.
When the Western political class talk to each other, they use the same empty gobbledegook they all learned at university, because that’s all they understand. But when they spout it at a jihadi, all the swivel-eyed swordsmen of the prophet hear is: weakness.
Trump, long practiced at the art of persuasion, knows just how to speak to a particular audience. When he promised Kim Jong-Un ‘fire and fury’, it was language the North Korean despot understood. He also quickly understood that Trump would not buy the same bullshit decades of previous presidents had.
The forces of Islamic terror are getting the same lesson.
Writing on his social media site Truth Social recently, Mr Trump said: “If the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity.”
He added: “Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storeyed History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!”
Mr Trump didn’t make clear whether he would directly involve the US military in the conflict in Gaza. But White House officials told NBC the threat led to Hamas agreeing to Israeli forces staying in the Gaza Strip temporarily after fighting ends and to provide a list of hostages who would be released.
Diplomatic sources also told AFP Mr Trump’s declaration had an impact on the latest round of ceasefire talks.
Just as Trump brought the mendicants of NATO to heel merely by threatening to pull US funding if European states didn’t start paying in line with their treaty obligations, the mere threat of hell to pay was enough to make Hamas beg. Carrying a big stick is pointless, when it comes to Hamas, if you speak soft. Where Western elites hear ‘the language of diplomacy’, terrorists only hear weakness. Trump doesn’t ‘do’ weakness. Sure, he’s a bully – and a bully is exactly what is needed in the Middle East.
Especially when even the low-IQ goons of Gaza are finally twigging that they’ve not only been ground to dust, but their list of allies is growing thinner than the dividing wall between a UNRWA school and a Hamas rocket emplacement.
One diplomatic source said Hamas, isolated after the weakening of its Lebanese ally Hezbollah and the overthrow of Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad, is keen to reach a deal before the end of the year.
Still, at least some of the reported aspects of the deal seem very bad, indeed.
In the first, six-week phase, Israeli civilian hostages and female soldiers would be released in exchange for “hundreds of Palestinian prisoners” […]
The second phase would see the release of Israeli male soldiers in exchange for “a number” of Palestinian prisoners, “including at least 100 with long-term sentences”.
Really? Have they learned nothing from the last time they exchanged imprisoned Palestinian terrorists for an Israeli soldier? A similar exchange in 2011 saw the release of Yahya Sinwar. How’d that one work out?
But that’s nothing compared to the idiotic droolings of Australia’s foreign minister.
On Wednesday (AEDT), Foreign Minister Penny Wong said Australia would provide financial and other assistance to Gaza after a ceasefire.
“We are deeply concerned, as are many countries, about the catastrophic humanitarian situation and so of course, we are willing to step up to provide assistance,” said Ms Wong.
Meaning, Australian taxpayers will once again be financing terrorists and UNRWA anti-Semitic propaganda.
No wonder Israel has had enough of this treacherous cow and the government she represents.
Penny Wong has clashed with her Israeli counterpart in a fiery phone call overnight, amid severe friction between the Albanese and Netanyahu governments […]
According to the Israeli news outlet, [Gideon Sa’ar] expressed the Israeli government’s ire over Australia’s “weakened” support for the country.
“Australia chose to distance itself from Israel in its hardest year, fighting against the fiercest enemies,” he said.
He rejected Senator Wong’s grouping of Israel with Russia and China in a call for countries to follow international law.
“Israel is a Western democratic country that upholds the rule of law, has an independent judiciary and adheres to international law,” Mr Sa’ar said.
“Over the past year, Israel has fought against the radical axis led by Iran, supported by Russia and China.”
He also took issue with Australia’s decision to deny a visa to former Israeli justice minister Ayelet Shaked.
“How would you react if we treated a former minister from Australia this way?” he said.
If it was Wong, after the Albanese government is mercifully thrown out on its ear, I wouldn’t blame Israel a single bit.
