Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

“Not Fade Away” is a song written by Buddy Holly and Norman Petty and first released by Buddy Holly and The Crickets as the B-side to their 1957 single “Oh Boy” and the subsequent 1957 album “The ‘Chirping’ Crickets”.
