Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

“Hi-Ho Silver Lining” is a song written by Scott English and Larry Weiss.

It was first released as a single by The Attack in March 1967.

It was released a few days later as a single by Jeff Beck whose version pushed The Attack’s single into obscurity.

It has been covered by several acts including:

Giant Crab on their 1968 debut album “A Giant Crab Comes Forth”.

Hello released their version as 1978 single.

Black Lace on their 1984 album “Party Party”.

Slade on their 1985 Christmas album “ Crackers”.

Vinnie Jones on his 2002 album “Respect”
