Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

Here are some cover versions of one song, let us know in the comments which is your favourite, or if you don’t like any of them.

“Back Door Man” is a song written by Willy Dixon and first recorded by Howlin’ Wolf.

It is now considered a blues standard and has been covered by many acts.

The Muleskinners released a single in 1965.

The Doors recorded a version on their self-titled debut album in 1967.

Chicken Shack had a version on their 1981 live album “Roadies Concerto”.

Iggy Pop and Soul Asylum covered it at the concert opening The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum in 1995.
