You’ve almost got to admire the mainstream media for their sheer chutzpah. With more bloody front than Myers, they are trying, hand on heart, to convince us that they knew nuzzink about Joe Biden’s mental incapacity for pretty much his entire presidency. They were shocked – shocked – they tell us, when the former president dissolved into a sputtering mess live on national television. They had no idea!
Who the hell are they trying to kid? We saw it all and we saw with our own lyin’ eyes the media slavishly parroting every lie that Biden was ‘sharp as a tack’. That it was a ‘conspiracy theory’ to even dare suggest that the shambling, mumbling, dribbling mound of geriatric jelly being almost literally wheeled out to front the camera was exactly what it looked like.
Taking the cake for sheer brazen lying is CNN anchor Jake Tapper. Tapper has written a whole book about how, he says, the media were the deceived victims of a conspiracy to conceal Biden’s mental decline. Which is about as convincing as the CCP’s hand-on-heart declaration that the protesters in Tiananmen attacked the poor, quivering soldiers.
Nobody outside the MSM is buying their self-serving lies any more. Neither is the Trump White House.
President Donald Trump on Wednesday (local time) ordered an investigation into what Republicans claim was a “conspiracy” to cover up Joe Biden’s declining cognitive health during his time in the White House.
It comes, says the MSM, “as a growing chorus of Democrats begin to acknowledge the former president appeared to have been slipping in recent years”, which is a bit like saying that Germany in 1939 appeared to have been slipping into authoritarianism in recent years.
This goes far beyond the Democrats trying their best to hide Biden’s doddering dotage through the election campaign last year. It goes right to the heart of just who was governing the United States for four years? At particular issue is the recently revealed fact that many of Biden’s presidential orders were issued with an ‘autopen’ signature, raising the likelihood that the then-president wasn’t even aware of them.
In case you’re unaware, an ‘autopen’ is not a ‘digital signature’, such as you might use to ‘sign’ a PDF document, or similar. In fact, it’s a mechanical device which mimics a person’s signature at the press of a button. Indeed, it’s since emerged that many of the documents were ‘signed’ by autopen when Biden wasn’t even in the country.
This begs the question of whether he even knew what was being ‘signed’ in his name and just who was authorising orders supposedly issued by the president.
“In recent months, it has become increasingly apparent that former President Biden’s aides abused the power of presidential signatures through the use of an autopen to conceal Biden’s cognitive decline,” a presidential memorandum issued Wednesday reads.
“This conspiracy marks one of the most dangerous and concerning scandals in American history.
“The American public was purposefully shielded from discovering who wielded the executive power, all while Biden’s signature was deployed across thousands of documents to effect radical policy shifts” […]
The probe will also look at “the circumstances surrounding Biden’s supposed execution of numerous executive actions during his final years in office (including) the policy documents for which the autopen was used (and) who directed that the president’s signature be affixed.” Mr Biden’s calamitous debate performance ultimately sank his bid for re-election, with key Democratic Party figures soon calling for him to drop out of the race.
The question of a deliberate cover up of Biden’s fitness has been amplified by recent revelations that Biden has stage-four prostate cancer, which has metastasised to his bones. Given just how rigorous a US president’s health is monitored – recall Reagan and Trump’s frequent and publicised health assessments – how could something like this have supposedly gone unnoticed for so long?
Many prostate cancers in the US are detected with a blood test that measures prostate-specific antigen, or PSA. The test is cheap and can help find potential cancer before symptoms appear. There are some particularly aggressive prostate cancers that don’t secrete enough PSA to be flagged on the test. But those are rare, doctors said.
It’s unknown whether Biden was getting regular PSA screening. In any case, health bodies recommend against regular PSA screenings for men over 70, due to the high rate of false positives.
“It’s in many ways unsettling that someone who has what is undoubtedly fantastic medical care could suddenly be diagnosed with aggressive, metastatic prostate cancer,” said Dr Todd Morgan, co-director of the Weiser Center for Prostate Cancer at Michigan Medicine.
“On the other hand, this is often how prostate cancer presents. We typically don’t do PSA screening beyond 75 or late 70s.”
But there are other prostate checks. Perhaps no one wanted to stick their finger up the presidential bum?
Biden, however, wasn’t a typical patient. As the oldest president in US history to seek re-election, his health was under considerable scrutiny by voters. His eldest son died of brain cancer at age 46, prompting Biden, then vice president, to launch his “cancer moonshot” initiative to accelerate the fight against the disease. His poor performance in last year’s presidential debate forced him out of the 2024 race, and new attention on his acuity while in office is amplifying concerns that his aides concealed his decline.
Donald Trump – the second oldest president at age 78 – does get screened. He released the results of his prostate cancer screening last month, showing a normal score. Barack Obama released his PSA score when he was president, as did George W Bush.
At the very least, it suggests that Biden’s doctors, or his family, were grotesquely negligent. Did Biden Inc put clinging onto the lucrative presidential power ahead of their Godfather’s own health? Could they really be that venal?
