Why Do the National Party Still Listen to John Key?

No one is more responsible for deteriorating race relations in New Zealand than John Key. Find out why.

John Key is yesterday’s man. When he was the most popular PM in living history, he all of a sudden abandoned ship, bailed from the job he was elected to do and foisted Bill English onto us all. Bill English went on to botch coalition negotiations with NZ First and, for the second time as leader, he lost an election.

When you look at Key’s premiership there is a small list of what could generously be called achievements and a long list of big failures, such as the ill-conceived flag referendum.

Sure he won three elections, but in all reality he didn’t do much except suck up to the CCP and organise himself a knighthood. But for some strange reason the National Party rolls him out all the time to talk to the members.

I’m wondering, why?
