Woke Dictionary: The New Newspeak

Donald Davis

The Urban Dictionary is a (frequently NSFW) crowdsourced online glossary of slang words and phrases.

In George Orwell’s 1984, the Ministry of Truth maintained a Newspeak Dictionary: the officially sanctioned vocabulary of Oceania. Only ‘specialists’ could truly write in Newspeak as some words had mutually contradicting definitions, so the meaning depended on context.

In recent years, and especially from 2020 onwards, mainstream conversations have begun including more and more words that we used to know the meanings of, but seem to now have new definitions or are simply never defined at all. The following is a brief excerpt from a larger collection of entries in pursuit of a ‘Woke Dictionary: A Guide for the Sane’. It is meant to be a ‘secret decoder ring’ to help translate MSM and woke slogans to their equivalent in pre-woke English.

‘Carbon’ / ‘Carbon emissions’: human beings and other life on Earth. Often used in sentences to represent a ubiquitous, unseen enemy. To the Cult faithful this word is similar to ‘Voldemort’ as it elicits feelings of unbridled dread and loathing.

Related terms:

‘Carbon footprint’: your sins.

‘Carbon credits’: modern-day Indulgences.
              ‘De-carbonisation’: depopulation.
‘Net Zero’: a return to a pre-1800s standard of living.

‘Vaccine’: previously a medical treatment to prevent disease, now a lab-fabricated gene therapy developed by scientists that has caused significant harm to millions worldwide. Oddly, the use of this term in the presence of politicians or health professionals in relation to adverse effects causes symptoms such as fingers being shoved in ears and them loudly repeating ‘LA LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU.’

‘Anti-vaxxer’: an independent thinker who forms opinions based on facts, believes in bodily autonomy and is generally immune to propaganda.

‘Vaccine passport’: assimilation indicator – positive status grants Cult membership, – negative status being a ‘Star of David’ subjecting the bearer to government-sponsored discrimination and persecution.

‘Racist’: a unique term that encompasses absolutely anything that is un-liked: Recent examples include mathematics, stop signs and milk. Unlike ‘Smurf’ from the 1980s, which could have both positive and negative connotations depending on context, ‘racist’ is always negative and must be hissed through a twisted scowl.

‘Our democracy’: a term often quipped by WEF-captured political factions denoting the
Socialist/Communist Control State they seek to implement.

‘Gender-affirming care’: A delusion enabling genital mutilation and ritual sacrifice of children.

This is just a primer to the versatile and capricious new terms currently being employed in the systematic dismantling of everything free people love and cherish. Check back often as more ‘old’ words are commandeered and the above definitions shift like sand dunes in a transgender wind.

UPDATE: A bonus entry was recently submitted specific to New Zealand; inclusion in the official Woke Dictionary is still under review:
