We have had a change of government with the majority of voters being sick and tired of poisonous Marxist nonsense and destructive rubbish, yet the lefty-infested organisations around the country continue to attack the government at every chance and turn. Like the cretinous MSM, they don’t seem to have gotten the memo that things have changed and they are throwing tanties, pointlessly. This campaign rivals the ongoing Trump derangement syndrome of the left in the USA since 2016 for ferocity, unhinged hatred and sheer illogical nonsense. The sources are many, from government departments to city councils, and the usual idiot suspects from the detached-from-reality noxious swamp of academia don’t disappoint either. This cute social media piece from Joanna Kidman is one of the latest ones.
However, this unhinged Kidman person is not the typical random wackademic. She is the co-director of an organisation with the usual murky woke Maori name of He Whenua Taurikura, which purports to be a charity and is funded mainly by the government. The parent organisation of this so-called charity is the Department of PM and Cabinet, as that is their current address.
Translating for the non-woke, ie those with brains, He Whenua Taurikura is “New Zealand’s National Centre of Research Excellence for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism”. In other words, another toxic hangover from the vile Ardern regime. It’s interesting and hypocritical that they purport to counter violent extremism, all with so-called excellence (of course), while implying the government (their paymaster and benefactor), is a death cult. Methinks some defunding is much needed here.
Meanwhile this rot is not only confined to the halls of academia dripping with left-wing vitriol. It has also infested women’s rugby, namely the Hurricanes’ women’s team.
This has not escaped Winston Peters, who is on the attack regarding their haka that called the government redneck.
It’ll be interesting to see the outcome of this: it should be a general sacking of the guilty players, coaching staff and management, or at least severe discipline, but I suspect it’ll be some lame weasel excuses and a weak apology. There have been anecdotes of Hurricanes’ memberships being cancelled, so hopefully it’s “go woke go broke”. However, it’s astonishing how political sport is getting and shows how deep the Marxist rot has penetrated in the last six years of Labour Government failure.
There’s a long two-and-a-half years ahead for the government. Peters and Seymour seem up to it, but I’m not so certain about Luxon; he’s still too cosy with that vile Ardern, especially regarding that Christchurch Call rubbish which is censorship masquerading as a ‘good cause’.
