When it comes to coal and oil, though, the new religious dogma of Climate Change has succeeded far beyond anything the religious right could have come up with.
But now another alleged communist plot is working hand-in-glove to bring the decadent West to its knees.
The Wuhan virus may or may not have been engineered and released by the Chinese Communist Party as a bio-weapon — but how would things have turned out any different, if it had? The virus is real, for sure, but how the West has been tricked into reacting to it seems indistinguishable from a true psy-op. First, China convinced governments across the West to ditch decades of well-prepared pandemic plans and wholesale copy China’s brutal authoritarianism.
Now, the CCP virus is dealing an already-weakened West a possibly fatal second blow, by destroying its entire commercial-industrial base.
The Federal Reserve on Thursday said that businesses have reported COVID-19 vaccine mandates have hurt employment and are contributing to labor supply problems—even before President Joe Biden’s previously announced vaccine mandate for private businesses goes into effect.
America was experiencing a crippling labour shortage, even before the mandate was announced. Whodathunkit, but after more than a year of being paid to stay at home, millions of Americans are decidedly leery of returning to the 9-to-5. Even worse, those “essential workers” who were allowed to stay on the job are tired and fed up.
Vaccine mandates are adding insult to the injury of a year that just burned out many workers in transport, health and hospitality.
“Transportation and technology firms saw particularly low labor supply, while many retail, hospitality, and manufacturing firms cut hours or production because they did not have enough workers,” its report summary said. “Firms reported high turnover, as workers left for other jobs or retired. Child-care issues and vaccine mandates were widely cited as contributing to the problem, along with COVID-related absences.”

Some manufacturing businesses reported a “higher labor turnover that some attributed to the lagged effects of the pandemic” but some said the quits were “in response to vaccine mandates,” the Boston Fed also said in its report.

Depending on whom you believe, a revolt against vaccine mandates may or may not be responsible for crippling at least one major US airline over the last few weeks. Truckers might be about to join them.
Polls by trucking publications Commercial Carrier Journal and OverDrive indicate that up to 30 percent of truckers will seriously consider quitting if required to vaccinate. If they quit, the consequences for America may be massive. US Transport estimates that 70 percent of American freight goes by truck.
While media and social media chose to lionise health care workers, the experiences of truckers during the pandemic has been nothing short of brutal.
At a time when many Americans hunkered down at home, they were still on the road.
Trucking life during the pandemic was a series of frustrating restrictions, trucker Victor Morales said at a Georgia One9 truck stop. Morales has driven trucks for 25 years.
After a long day on the road, Morales would wait for hours to drop off a truckful of deliveries at a warehouse. But warehouse owners didn’t allow truckers to leave their cabs for any reason.
“You’re almost forced, like a second-class citizen,” he said. “They want the goods and services you got, but they don’t even want you to get out of your truck.”
If they arrived hungry, they waited hungry, he said. They weren’t even allowed to use a restroom only steps away.
“You can literally see a bathroom right there behind the glass. But you can’t get out,” Morales said.
Again, the vaccine mandate may well be the last straw — even for fully vaccinated truckers.
In the eyes of drivers, Biden’s mandate is the last step in a long line of restrictions that don’t consider their needs or wants.

At the Pilot Truck Stop at I-69 and Wadhams Road in Michigan, all 10 truckers interviewed by The Epoch Times said they had taken the vaccine but were opposed to a vaccine mandate.

America is already experiencing widespread shortages, as global supply chains face unprecedented disruption due to government covid policies. America’s ports are choked with ships that can’t unload. Long lines of trucks are held up from shipping goods.
But if those long lines suddenly vanish, as truckers quit en masse, the crisis will get exponentially worse.
