Multiplicity is better than uniformity.

As much as you probably despise legacy media, most of us will miss it when it’s gone and replaced finally with social media.

The way things are right now, outlets like Stuff or the NZ Herald mediate what Kiwis see and hear about our society. By doing so, they boost or block certain narratives and subtly shift the country’s mental landscape over time. But at least this legacy media is mostly for New Zealand by New Zealanders. Mostly. That may be disappearing quicker than we realise.
