We want to protect our kids from the harms of social media.
I joined with the B416 campaign this afternoon who share my concern. This great group of Kiwis have kicked off a fantastic campaign to protect our kids.
The overwhelmingly positive response from mums and dads makes it clear we need to progress options to restrict social media for under-16s and as such, I have tasked @EricaStanfordMP to lead this work.
National MP Catherine Wedd’s members’ bill will remain in the ballot as the Minister’s work progresses.
