Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” Osbourne’s family said in a statement.
“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
His death comes just weeks after he and his bandmates played a final concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.
Born December 3, 1948, the English singer, songwriter and media personality rose to fame during the 1970s as the lead singer of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath.
