I invite you all to share something in the comments about your Mum.

I’ll start the ball rolling….

My Mum is the strongest and most capable woman I know. She taught me that sacrifice is not a dirty word. I learned from her example that all the things worth having in this world are worth fighting for and are earned the hard way.

She taught me that I am responsible for my own happiness and that I cannot expect another person to make me happy. She taught me that love sometimes is a decision, not a feeling and that a commitment is all about helping you to hang in there when you want desperately to run screaming in the other direction.

Her hard earned wisdom has supported me through the darker times in my life and has always turned out to be correct.

Finally, a mother’s hug heals almost every pain in the world.
