Labour Spend $86M on Motels for Ferals, Biden… ‘Hold My Beer’

Last week it was revealed that Labour have spent an unbelievable 86 million dollars in the year to December 2020 on emergency housing, creating the best financial year in decades for the fleapit motels that have thrown away their reputations and dignity to suck on the government’s teat. Worse perhaps was the fact that the Minister for Social Welfare, Carmel Sepuloni unbelievably admitted that she is so hopeless at her job that she didn’t even realise she was being rorted!

Well, $86 million must be a special number when it comes to giving away money to motels, as that, weirdly enough, is the same amount that President Joe Biden has just approved in a contract for motels etc in Texas and other Mexican border areas. This however is not to house the American homeless but is destined for housing some of the tens of thousands of illegal migrants that are pouring across America’s southern border now that the Democrats are in charge.

Of course, that amount is expressed in US Greenbacks so Biden is spending the equivalent of around 120 million of our smallest gold-coloured coins (well, in this round anyway).

Unlike in New Zealand where our Government is pretending that housing homeless in motels is only for short periods, the US plan is to house the migrants for at least six months, but they also admit that could be extended and expanded.

It won’t all be spent on motels though as they are currently targeting unused ‘man camps’. These are facilities where temporary oil workers and the like are housed when they’re operating in the oil and gas industry. Hmmn, now there’s a thought, maybe we can move our homeless to New Plymouth?

A further 3,000 unaccompanied 15 to 17-year-old boy migrants are reportedly being sent to a large convention centre in Dallas as there is nowhere else to house them, given that the much-maligned ‘cages’ where Trump was supposedly holding children are full, some running at more than 700% over capacity. Of course, Biden doesn’t only use cages, he quite likes just putting the kids into tent cities too. No wonder media are being denied permission to view inside the facilities!

I guess it is sort of the same here. If you were to look at the mainstream media in New Zealand, you might suspect that the only people being housed in emergency motel accomodation here are hard done by solo mothers who desperately want to work and would love to have a home but can’t get a rental of their own because of… (say it with me…) racism.

Well we all know the the amounts spent will only increase under a socialist government whether it be a Kiwi one or a Yank one so hopefully both countries can make the most of it until the money runs out.

In the mean time, I’m thinking it might be a good time to start buying up run-down cesspit motels. You can get $440 a night for each room donchaknow.
