Dear Editor

I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by Te Hurihanganui and the clear aim of the Ministry of Education to instil apartheid in New Zealand.

I have seen how the playbook of favouring one race over all others (at the expense of democracy) has played out in many other countries. South Africa was devastated by this nonsense, as was Zimbabwe.

China continues to put one race (Han Chinese people) over others, such as the Uigyer Muslims. Millions of people suffer as a result.

New Zealand is a fair and decent country. I want to keep it that way. Race-based education and laws have no place here.

This racism is despicable and must stop. I demand an immediate end to these racist policies, and a return to helping our children – and our general citizens – based on need, not on race.

Signed

Local Government Calls for an Immediate Suspension

Blanco, who formerly served as Port Hedland Mayor, said he was inundated with calls from other local government areas after the Port Hedland Council motion was passed. “I’ve been contacted by so many councils that are ready for this,” he said. “They can’t just ignore this. We want genuine answers.”
