Letter to the Editor: The Prime Minister

letter to the editor letters

Dear Editor

I read with interest our PM’s letter on lockdown and her justification. I don’t see where she addresses the facts that people are dying because they can no longer get cancer treatment, open heart surgery and from the number of suicides caused by the lockdown and businesses failing.

It will be interesting to see how the numbers add up on how many died from Covid and the number who died from not getting treatment that could have been undertaken if a proper leader were doing the planning.

Like everything else she has handled, it’s a disgrace. Let’s talk child poverty, numbers of homes being built and I could go on and on, but none of this is being taken into account when we are locked down.

Let’s also stop and think of who put us into lockdown last time and then dropped the ball so that Covid returned. It certainly wasn’t us under lockdown, it was again our leader and her minions.

Will she drop the ball again? Just look at her record so far and I would say, more than likely. Her anthem is go hard and early, so keeping that in mind, think of Afghanistan. Other countries went into rescue mode weeks before the Taliban took control but not us. We waited until it was mission impossible then went and didn’t get everybody that we should have. It’s time the team of five million stood up and said enough is enough and put in place a person that knows how to run a country.

A final word; what is this costing? I shudder to think.

Kind regards,

Don T
