Open Letter to Kickstart @Fonterra

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am wondering if you can comment on your reasons for engaging in the below correspondence, which is very clearly a partisan political promotion on behalf of the Labour Party and in particular it’s leader Jacinda Ardern.

Kickstart. The BFD

As you will note in the correspondence, which appears to date back to 2018, your comments state that you wish to encourage children to applaud Jacinda Ardern for the “last 5 years” of her support for the kickstart programme.  The problem being, of course, that the programme was commenced under a National government of John Key, and continued under a National government of Bill English, neither of whom you seem to have acknowledged as the founders of the scheme.

Despite this after only a few months of the Ardern government, you have encouraged children to applaud her for what she had little or nothing to do with.

It is abundantly clear that your organisation is not just politically biased, but that you are happy to abuse the trust of children by trying to force them to support and thank your favoured political party. This is disgusting behaviour, and tantamount to child abuse.

It is also incredibly strange, given that the political party that you clearly endorse is currently engaged in a plan to destroy your industry. That is your own business of course, and if you want to encourage the demise of your own business then that is entirely up to you.

What is not acceptable, however, is your attempt to indoctrinate children into your own beliefs. I would appreciate an answer as to why you consider that the political indoctrination and manipulation of children is fair game to your company?
