You have to love it when the left eat their own. Not only is it invariably comedy gold, but some telling truths can inadvertently fall out.
Imagine, for instance, if there was a debate on banning Nazi insignias and Eric Abetz weighed in on behalf of the National Socialists by bragging that his father had fought in 1941 — for the Germans.
Yet, that’s just the kind of flex Muslim MP Anne Aly tried on, when confronted by Pallywags.
The Albanese government’s most senior Muslim woman has been verbally attacked by pro-Palestinian activists, amid a sustained campaign to target Labor politicians over the Gaza-Israel war.
Well, when you try and walk a barbed-wire fence with a foot in each paddock, you end up getting torn a new one. This is just the sort of stuff Labor deserve, with their oleaginous attempts to nod and wink to the anti-Semitic “pro-Palestine” thugs, while at the same time trying to pretend they’re not courting anti-Semitism in a desperate attempt to hang on to the vital Western Sydney seats dominated by Muslims.
Early Childhood Education Minister Anne Aly – the nation’s first female Muslim minister – was involved in a heated confrontation with Friends of Palestine activists during a “meet your member” event at a suburban Perth park on the weekend.
Plain-clothed Australian Federal Police officers had to intervene to shut down the event as tensions between Dr Aly and the activists rose.
As Dr Aly left the scene, activists could be heard calling her a “coward” and one woman shouted “don’t call yourself a Muslim”. Chants of “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” broke out as Dr Aly was ushered away.
Remember the collective fit of the vapours the left media had, when someone waved a placard behind Tony Abbott, with a cartoon of Julia Gillard as a witch? They lost their minds. Yet, anti-Semitic activists can chant the genocidal slogan of a listed terrorist group and the media nod their heads in solemn approval.
Speaking of genocide:
During the confrontation, Dr Aly referred to how her father had fought for Egypt against Israel during the Six Day War of 1967.
“My father fought in the war. And what have you done?,” she told one of the protesters.
What did you do in the war on Jews, Daddy?
Well, neither I nor my parents fought in a genocidal war against Jews, that’s for sure. Egyptian president Nasser had denounced the suggestion that Arab states recognise Israel’s right to exist. Instead, he boasted that there was “no opportunity for a peaceful settlement with Israel”. The only course was to “liberate Palestine by force” — “liberate” meaning, as it still does in these loons’ usage, eradicating the Jewish state. Nasser was also instrumental in the formation of the PLO terrorist group.
In 1967 Nasser provoked the Six Day War, believing that the time had indeed come to “throw the Jews into the sea”. Instead, once again, the Israelis humiliated the Arab states. So, Nasser responded by imprisoning a full one-fifth of Egypt’s few remaining Jewish residents. “At least one from each family,” recalled Angel Sagaz, the Spanish Ambassador to Egypt. The imprisoned Jews were subjected to brutal beatings by both Egyptian mobs and prison guards. It took literal Fascists — the Franco regime — to liberate thousands of Egyptian Jews from certain genocide. Today, just one hundred Jews remain in Egypt.
Is Daddy fighting for all that really the flex Anne Aly wants to make?
If nothing else, Aly the supposed “counter-extremism expert” (her qualifications are, in fact, in Education), clearly “dreams” that the hundreds of Jews still held hostage will be left for Hamas to do as they wish.
She said those wanting to see a resolution to the conflict had to give up on the “dream” that Israel would spontaneously lay down its weapons without a negotiated truce.
“I would love a ceasefire to happen. We would all agree on that, correct?”
The Australian
So, nothing about Hamas releasing the hostages? Nothing about eliminating the disgusting terror organisation responsible for the horrific massacres of October 7?
Labor’s anti-Semitic slip just can’t help but show itself.
