The following was submitted to the New Zealand Herald and not published.

I am surprised at the reaction of Chris Luxon to Israel’s banning on UNWRA and labelling it a terrorist entity.

By UNWRA’s own admission, Muhammed Attawi, who worked for them was
commander of Hamas’s Nukhba’s special forces. This individual was shown to
be directly involved in the October 7th massacre of over 1200 innocent Israeli civilians.

There are many other members of UNWRA who have been shown to support
and fight with and for Hamas. There is also anecdotal evidence that the aid destined for Gazans is diverted to Hamas, who sell this at inflated prices to the poor civilians in Gaza.

Once again Luxon has shown his spineless leadership. I thought we had voted Labour/Greens out, but we have in the government a Labour-light PM.
