1. Why National Ruled Out the Opportunity Party

2. What to Expect if the Left Wins

- 🏛️ Labour isn’t left: Edmonds keeps “basic economic settings”; no wealth tax for Greens, no land tax for TOP — “meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”
- 📉 CTU economist Craig Renny parked at list #51 while Wellington Bays (ex-Rongotai) is Julie-Anne Genter’s turf — Farrar says Green capital stays Green.
- 🏷️ “Jobs, Homes, Health” small-cheap offer vs ~$12bn Pay Equity restore — priorities spoken with a middle-class accent; lanyard unions over bread-and-butter.
- ⚔️ Owners (cut the state) vs administrators (judiciary, unis, public sector, media, arts) — Nat–ACT want to break the tag-team; Labour keeps Māori/Pasifika high for caucus arithmetic and to frighten capital with “angry brown working-class” threat.
- 🎯 Takeaway for everyone else: more power for administrators, less for owners — contracting economy, swelling bureaucracy, tino rangatiratanga, fewer civil/political rights. Business as usual. (First on The Good Oil.)
3. My Advice for Christopher Luxon: Stand for Something
Don Brash — Brash & Mitchell
- 📉 Nat ~29% first-term vs Brash-era ~39% in 2005: too many Kiwis no longer know what Luxon’s National stands for.
- 🗳️ 2023 mandate wasn’t only inflation — it was rejection of ancestry division and co-governance; nearly three years later, constitutional silence.
- 🪑 Māori electorates: ACT and NZF have positions; National has five rehearsed non-answers — Collins broke tradition by running candidates; Luxon runs from the debate.
- 🏫 Te Tai Hauāuru candidate Coral Raukawa defends Māori wards against Nat’s referendum policy; OIA shows Treaty in/out of curriculum design principles four times in under eight weeks.
- 🎯 Takeaway: if you stand for nothing, you get run over — equal citizenship, seats, wards, co-governance, ideology in schools. State it plainly or lose.
4. Douglas Murray: Europe Spins Another Islamist Attack

- 🚐 Berlin Pride: the “naughty van” formula again — vehicle treated as if it self-drove into the crowd; one dead, dozens injured.
- 🪪 Suspect Abdul Ballout, 21, German-born Lebanese heritage; last year tried to reach Syria for ISIS; three months in Lebanese jail for incitement and related offences — known, slipped through.

5. A Peace Plan for the Data Center Wars

- 🏗️ Almost overnight, data centres are one of America’s most controversial issues — Nocera: they’re inevitable; how they’re built still matters.
- 🏜️ Box Elder County, Utah: O’Leary Digital “Project Stratos” — up to $100bn, 40,000 acres far from towns; closed-loop recycled cooling, own gas not grid, ~$30m annual tax for schools/services.
- 📣 Locals still erupted: drought/wildfire fears + “they tried to keep this quiet” — same lightning-rod pattern as NJ, PA and 300+ bans/moratoriums nationwide.

- 📔 Rand Paul’s Reading Room dumps 1,000+ pages of Fauci diary/emails — fame-obsessed notes, little science: “most famous… in the country” (May 2020); Kennedy Center red-carpet ecstasy (Dec 2022).
- 📅 Timeline: Feb 2020 calm “rough flu” consensus flipped to panic without new data; China model + WHO lockstep; only Sweden/Tanzania/Nicaragua resisted full shutdown.
- 🗳️ CDC-pushed mail-in chaos; then vaccine maximalism + segregation + mandates on short trials of a mutating pathogen; Great Barrington authors professionally punished.
- ⚖️ Preemptive “Biden” pardon + expired perjury clock; Paul still subpoenas him — new misleading testimony can still bite.
- 🎯 Takeaway: the wheel of fortune has turned — once “I am the science,” now the scapegoat-in-waiting. Acute amnesia recommended for the hearing.
7. Communism and Socialism Are the New Capitalism

- 💍 Mamdani’s lavish Uganda wedding + Gracie Mansion; AOC’s $30k gala coat — every socialist gets a Mercedes; Eugene Lyons’s “Penthouse Bolsheviks” still fits.
- 🎯 Takeaway: Nate Silver’s angry $30–60k grad-degree cohort won’t read history — guard still required. No pasarán.
8. Boy George’s Pro-Israel Song Is as Punk as It Gets

- 🎯 Takeaway (with a sting): he can see a war as a war — now try seeing a bloke as a bloke on the trans question.
