I am reminded of the quote:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
I applaud Rachel Smalley for speaking out strongly on this, but I have to ask the question, why only now, when it affects women? What about the groups travelling the country right now trying to educate people on co-governance, they are also being abused, threatened and shut down?
What about those that opposed the vaccine mandates, look at how they were brutally silenced. Look at how others have been banned from coming to New Zealand to speak, such as Lauren Southern and Jordan Peterson. Look at how Maureen Pugh was humiliated and silenced for daring to question man-made climate change. Remember the seven “Listener” Massey professors who dared to say that Maori myths and legends are not science, they were silenced too.
As well as condemning this particular attack on women’s rights to speak without fear,
we can’t forget that it is all part of the big picture, our free-speech is being attacked from all angles. Why haven’t the media spoken out about the constant attacks on our freedom of speech before? Because those ones didn’t affect them personally, they only affected other people? First they came for others, Rachel? We need to all unite against this tyranny and stop all attacks on our free-speech, otherwise this government’s plan to divide and conquer us all will work.
