With no disrespect intended to the the current properly functioning Russian health system, NZDSOS notes with flabbergasted interest that public health doctors are concerned that the NZ government is trying to suppress their expertise, to the point of only speaking anonymously. Where have they been for the past five years?
A recent article by mainstream media has highlighted concerns of government overreach. Public health experts now have to have their advice “signed off at a national level”. Furthermore they have been discouraged from making submissions on issues such as fast food and on leading advocacy campaigns and have been advised to stick to technical issues and immunisation campaigns.
In a gob-smacking display of arrogance and lack of insight, the Labour health spokesperson, Ayesha Verrall stated that the minister of health was censoring doctors and that New Zealand would be better off when there is open debate about health risks.
Verrall said it appeared the government was censoring experts’ opinions and raised concern about how that could impact New Zealanders’ health.
“New Zealand will be better off when there is open debate about health risks. He should not be suppressing information about public health,” she said.
“Medical specialists employed in all fields of the health system have a right to speak out.”
We couldn’t agree more, Dr Verrall, but we note your government and ministries led the assault against discussion of negative data via its One Source of Truth, nothing-to-see-here approach. Note that in 2021 Dr Verrall ignored her own scientists advising that children should only have a single jab and must not be mandated in any way via school, sports and social activities.
It is further very sad that the current (uniparty) government is taking the same truncheon to experts.
ACT leader David Seymour MP has given embarrassingly incorrect and frankly dangerous accounts of how the mRNA vaccines ‘work’ to parliament and the people, and now he and current Health Minister Simeon Brown tell the “muppets” in public health to shut up about diet and lifestyle and stick to pushing vaccines. Indeed, in a recent four-minute radio interview he mentioned vaccines six times! We know there is privately funded mRNA injection infrastructure built already, and just waiting for a certain act to pass and the investors are off to the racers.
Everyone should object to this tyrannical imposition of selective health policy which favours biotech corporates and deprives the public of vast chunks of evidence for lifestyle interventions and the health dollars to promote them.
Many doctors, including prominent members of NZDSOS have been censured by the New Zealand Medical Council for calling caution about the Covid response, particularly the vaccines. We have written repeatedly to the ministry of health, directly to Dr Verrall and to public health experts, including Drs Ian Town and Michael Baker calling for debate and discussion. Serious concerns include sudden deaths in the young, fibrous white clots (now confirmed to be amyloid) and very high DNA contamination likely behind the current cancer epidemic. Instead we got silence and censure.
We have been concerned since the start of Covid that the government was inserting itself in the consultation room, between the patient and the doctor. Now it is obvious that they were doing the same in public health.
Do the people of New Zealand want the government interfering in their personal health and that of the public at large? Based on the feedback that NZDSOS is getting, the public is angry with the government’s Covid response when Dr Verrall was at the helm, including the censuring of doctors and experts who not only did not agree with the government’s narrative but tried to warn the nation of terrible risks.
Trust in the health system is at an all time low and Simeon Brown has just pushed that down a whole lot further.
NZDSOS called alarm at the censoring of doctors and to our dismay this has progressed as expected. When doctors, health experts and academics are told what they are allowed to say, we are living in a communist state.
NZDSOS continues to call for medical freedom and sovereignty, for both doctors and the public. We demand that the government gets out of the consultation, allows experts and doctors in general to speak and the public to refuse interventions. We suggest that disbanding the MCNZ is a good place to start.
Whatever punishments are meted out to dissident doctors for telling the truth will be nothing compared to consequences ahead for those covering up and continuing to harm.
We remain committed to promoting transparency and informed consent, caution and trusted medical principles and striving for a future where these tenets are upheld across all borders.
