We are continually and somewhat pathetically being told ad nauseam to “be kind”. Tell that to my Malaysian partner “the dragon”, Jenny, pastry chef at a top Auckland restaurant.
She has been a New Zealand citizen since 2003 but somehow, according to the tangata whenua, the situation we are all in equally is somehow all her fault. I’m at our place in Arrowtown and Jenny is stuck at the restaurant flat in Auckland with two Chinese kitchen hands for the duration.
None of them has left the flat for a week.
The constant abuse and threats of violence from only one section of society needs to stop. These very people who blame everyone but themselves for the situation they were in through their own poor choices, before this even started, continue to divert attention from their failings by, as usual, blaming others.
This worldwide crisis we are all in is entirely the result of the communist Chinese government’s obfuscations and the crushing of their own people’s voices. Not Jenny. Not the kitchen hands at your local Asian takeaway. Not the good-natured average Chinese person. The Chinese Government, and no one else, is to blame.
Most New Zealanders can get on with everyone no matter where they are from. We all like Mrs Patel at the local dairy, we all say ‘gudday” to Pramod at the petrol station, and say “hiya mate” to Chanying at the bank.
One section of the populace here in New Zealand need to sort their act out. You can forget about any sympathy from me when you continue to cry Raaaaccist! at every opportunity when so far all I have seen from you is exactly that.
Kia Kaha.
