Letter to the Editor: Negative Test OK for Some but Not Others

letter to the editor letters

Dear Editor

I note the PM has decreed that only people who are fully vaccinated – having had two doses of either the Covid-19 vaccine – or those who have tested negative for Covid-19 within 72 hours of departure will be allowed through the border from December 15.

How does that make the 1,300 DHB staff who have been stood down this week or the teachers for refusing to get vaccinated for whatever reason feel; that you can leave Auckland with a negative test but can’t teach or treat the sick?

Why can’t the nurses and teachers return negative tests and be able to continue to work? It would seem this policy is made up on the hoof like all the others the PM has come up with.

The PM’s hypocrisy and double standards clearly know no bounds.

Regards

Andrew
